Greetings!

My name is Shasta Baker, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Lion family! Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching students in special education as well as first through third grades in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Ohio. This is my tenth year as a school counselor and my first year serving the students, families, and staff of Liberty Middle School.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Urbana University in Ohio, my master's degree in School Counseling from Mississippi State University, and my Educational Specialist degree from the University of West Alabama. As a school counselor, my goal is to collaborate with, empower, and support our students, families, and teachers.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending quality time with my family and friends. My son, Reed, will begin his senior year of high school this fall, and I am excited to cheer him on during this special milestone. I look forward to partnering with our Liberty Middle School community and helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I am excited for a wonderful school year.

Go Lions!
