Assistant Principal

My name is Jamie Golliver and I am entering my sixth year as assistant principal at Liberty Middle School.  I was born and raised in Florence, Alabama and graduated from Rogers High School in 1990.  I then attended the University of North Alabama where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education (Social Science) in 1994. I later received my Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012.

I began my teaching career at Bob Jones High School where I taught psychology and history from 1996 until 2000.  I then moved to Liberty Middle School where I taught history, civics, and geography from 2000 until 2012.  I was privileged and honored to be awarded Liberty Middle School Teacher of the Year as well as Madison City Schools Secondary Teacher of the Year for the 2008-2009 school year.  This past year marked my twenty-first year as an educator.

My wife Diana teaches pre-K at Goldsmith Schiffman Elementary School and we have two daughters, Jocelyn and Anna Belle.  Jocelyn was recently married and works as a medical assistant while attending Northwest Shoals Community College.  Anna Belle also attends Northwest Shoals and has her own photography business.

I am blessed to be an educator and to be working for such a phenomenal district and school.  If you ever need to contact me, you may do so at: jbgolliver@madisoncity.k12.al.us  and also at: 256-430-0001 Ext. 402.
